Biography

Daniel J. Flint (Ph.D.) is the Regal Professor of Marketing in the Department of Marketing, Haslam College of Business, and the Interim Department Head for Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Management in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, both at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, U.S.A. Dan has over 22 years of experience publishing extensively in premier and other scholastic journals, conference proceedings and books. He has deep industry and scholastic experience and is internationally known for his work on business-to-business relationships, shopper marketing, customer value management, marketing and branding strategy, sustainability as it relates to marketing, corporate identity, supply chain relationships, and innovation. He presents, researches and consults internationally often, including conducting work with social innovation entrepreneurs in developing markets. While at UTK since 2002, Dan has been instrumental in designing and standing up several business-outreach initiatives that enhance business-student-faculty connections for internships, job placement, knowledge transfer and fundraising (i.e., Customer Value & Strategy Forum 2003-2006, Shopper Marketing Forum 2009-2013, Professional Sales Forum 2018-present).
