As Department Head, I focus my energies on cultivating opportunities for faculty development and for enriching students' educational experiences. Academically, I apply my background in merchandising and textile science to the area of product development.
Recent Projects
- Coordinating "UT Product Development Project," in which Retail and Consumer Sciences students develop products for their line of merchandise - UT Vols. Line includes Tennessee Tartan products
- Directing the Service Management Multicultural Scholars Program, a USDA funded grant that provides scholarships for outstanding minority students in our Service Management degree program
- Working with the department's Advisory Board on its initiatives
- Providing leadership to the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA)
